If you're dealing with any kind of addiction, mindfulness meditation can help you explore and better understand the mechanisms that feed it. It can also be a really helpful tool for overcoming addictions and preventing relapse.

Bringing intention to our actions to regain control. The practice of mindfulness meditation helps us gain clarity and presence. It allows us to become more aware of the mechanisms behind our addictions and to make conscious choices: “I want to change this” or “I don't want to change that” (not wanting to change can also be a conscious choice!). The idea is to become actively involved in our lives, rather than simply enduring or allowing our automatic responses to take over.
